The package includes primary healthcare services for both staff and conscripts and consists of the following components: outpatient care, occupational health care, and dental care. The delivery includes modern electronic services for the end user, ranging from electronic health questionnaires to the user's own service portal.

The value of the acquisition is 12.3 million euros. The acquisition includes the delivery and implementation project, as well as maintenance and further development services until 2029.

–  We offer a ready solution with extensive functionalities that meets very strict requirements, serving the Finnish Defence Forces now and adapting to future needs. Our solution can be implemented quickly, as required by the Defence Forces, states Tommi Salaspuro, CEO of Mediconsult.

The Defense Forces' patient information system has high quality requirements

The Defence Forces provide healthcare services for conscripts, military students, personnel serving in crisis management tasks, and occupational health services for some of the Defence Forces' staff. The Defence Forces' healthcare includes health care, nursing care, and environmental health care, which aims to reduce, eliminate, and prevent health risks related to the environment.

The patient information system package is a critical system for the operation and documentation of care at the Defence Forces' health stations, which must be both content-wise and technically reliable and functional. Developing the care process and ensuring reliable and accurate documentation of patient care requires good usability from the system. Processing patient data necessitates strong data protection and information security. The system must comply with legal requirements and national definitions in these areas and enable the secure use of patient data.
